BE – holding space for you to Be
Founded in 2025 and bringing together a unique combination of yoga, reiki and sound therapy, Be provides mini retreats in beautiful spaces in East Anglia to help you to relax, restore and recharge while promoting self-healing and personal wellbeing.
The founding members of the company are experienced practitioners dedicated to the highest good of their clients and the world around us. Having been brought together as part of the Wellness Team at Flackstock 2024, we wanted to find a way to continue this vision and created Be alongside our ongoing practices. We have all been deeply and beneficially affected by the practices we offer and aim to provide healing and wellbeing physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
We are very keen to engage with other practitioners to offer clients the most beneficial experiences to help them on their paths to wellness and healing.
We look forward to welcoming you to one of our retreats and if you would like private sessions, please feel free to ask.
With love and light,
Team Be

My yoga journey started with my mother when I was a teenager. I went to classes with her and watched her practice. In my early twenties I was diagnosed with arthritis and told I would be in a wheelchair by the age of forty. I was given drugs and braces for my hands and wrists and sent on my way. Not being someone who takes things lying down, I refused to accept this and started yoga instead.
To add to this, my mum died, I had a stressful job and two young kids. I was depressed, stressed and ill.
WHAT TURNED YOU ON TO YOGA?
I started a local basic class and soon sought new teachers to explore further. That’s when I discovered how integral breathwork is and it all started to make sense!
Soon I was training to be a dynamic yoga teacher (tai chi, karate and yoga) with Johny Fincham and attended classes with the beautiful Vonnie Bloom - a true Guru – who made me work hard and prove myself. My ego was firmly put in its place! She was responsible for me doing the British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Training course. I studied for 3 years (500 hours) and became a BWY teacher whilst pregnant with my third child. Since then I have:
1. trained with Michelle Cheesebourgh to be a children’s teacher
2. completed the BWY Healthy Lower Back course with Alison Trewhela, (minimum four years BWY teaching experience to attend)
3. continually improved my practice by training with a variety of amazing teachers, including: Abby Hoffmann, Jennifer Moss, Julie Friedeberger, Zoe Knot, Dc Ruth Gilmore, Bob Insley, Gary Carter, Tara Fraser, Swami Pragyamurti Saraswati, Paul Harvey, Peter Blackerby and Anna Forrest’s right hand man, Jambo Dragon.
Over the years I have had the wonderful experience of helping many people – especially with severe back pain.
Currently, I:
· teach private 1:1 & 1:2 and groups several days a week
· run the Wellness Tent at Flackstock Festival, which is truly one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. We have raised over £650,000 so far for mental health charities
· am involved in wellness for a new festival, CRUSH, aiming to revive Shoreditch’s nightlife.
I LOVE my job!

Sound has been incredibly important to me all my life as when I was very little it was discovered that I was deaf in one of my ears, which in turn has made me incredibly sensitive to all sounds.
The need to explore sound, led me to university where I did my MA researching how sounds affect us.
However, when I had my first ever Soundbath back in 2008, I was completely blown away, I'd never felt so clear headed, and energised before.
(It was right there in that moment I knew I had to become a Sound Therapist!! I wanted everyone to feel this good.)
Two whole years spent studying with the British Academy of Sound Therapy, and here I am today, years later, absolutely loving how professional Sound training can help you work through anxiety, pain and trauma that is held deep in your mind and body.

Marston has been involved with energy healing and practice for many years, qualifying as a Reiki master and teacher during the Covid pandemic. He practices Usui Natural Reiki Healing and offers individual treatments at The Practice Rooms in Norwich when not partnering with Katie at Be's beautiful retreats.
He is excited to be involved with Be, as it aligns with his passion for helping people to reconnect and grow and the unique way the retreats are organised offers a very special blend of treatments all at the same time.
